| Payment: Payment in full is required at time of booking through PayPal, which is safe, secure and efficient. A PayPal account is not required; you may choose to use your credit card through PayPal. When you make payment you will receive confirmation that your tour has been booked and paid for, the tour or tours chosen, the number of people, and the date and time of the tour. You will not receive any other confirmation. If you need to make a change in the tour, or cancel, it is up to you to contact us. Remember: your tour is not fully booked and the date not reserved until payment has been received. Refunds: Refunds will be made according to the following schedule in the event you cancel or fail to show:
* Less any fees or transaction costs we incur. You should consider buying travel insurance in the event you need to cancel the tour. General Terms and Conditions: We reserve the right to cancel at any time. If we need to cancel, we will notify you as soon as possible, and you will be refunded your payment. We are not responsible or liable for any damages you may suffer because of cancellation, and your sole recourse is refund of your payment. The tour will generally proceed rain or shine, and in the even of high water. In the case of extreme weather, such as a hurricane or extreme flooding, you may be refunded all or part of your payment at our discretion. Venice may experience high water at about any time of year, more so in the winter, spring and fall. Generally, the level of the water is such that the streets can be navigated with standard "Wellington" boots, which are widely available in Venice for about 15 Euros. There are also plastic garbage-bag-like shoe covers sold around the city. The tour will continue in the event of high water, unless we determine that the conditions are unsafe, and you may therefore be required to buy boots or shoe covers. (It is not safe to walk around in bare feet) Most of the tours require substantial walking, and Venice is not well equipped for disabled people; there are very few places where a disabled person can get over a bridge, and the only way to get around, other than the Vaporetto or water taxi, is to walk, which includes going over many bridges. If you have difficulty walking and going up and down steps, please let us know at the time of booking. Breaks: The duration of any tour includes time for breaks. You may take a break at any time during the tour upon request. Otherwise, breaks will be at our discretion. A break means sitting down at a cafe (or such place) and having a drink, and resting for at least 15 minutes. We are not liable for any damaged, lost or stolen articles. Although Venice is relatively safe, there are still thieves about. You should read up on how to protect yourself prior to travelling to Europe. Venice is a city of bridges and canals, and it can be very wet and slippery. By booking a tour you are agreeing not to hold us responsible in the case of a fall or injury of any kind. You are assuming the risk by walking in Venice. You should make sure you have adequate health insurance before leaving. In the course of the tour we may take pictures of you and your group. By paying for a tour, you agree that we may publish any such images on our website, unless you ask us not to. We will, however, remove any images of you at your request. We may publish on our website quotes from you about your experience with us, whether made orally or in writing. If we publish any quotes, we will identify you by first name and the city or country in which you live, but we will not use your last name. In the event you are dissatisfied with our services, or there is any other dispute between us, you agree that prior to filing any complaint, either with a credit card company, PayPal, any consumer advocacy group or organization, or in any court, you will 1) notify us in writing via email as to the nature of your complaint, 2) answer any questionnaires we send you, and provide any other information or documentation as reasonably necessary to determine the nature of your issue or complaint, 3) work in good faith to resolve the matter amicably, and 4) if we are unable to resolve any dispute ourselves, work to resolve the matter through mediation. If these efforts to resolve the matter are not successful, then we will each have all remedies at law or equity, and you further agree that any action in court arising out of this relationship shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Venice, Italy. In the event of any such action, the prevailing party shall have the right to reimbursement of all costs and expenses incurred as a result of any such court action, plus reasonable attorney's fees, or as such may be allowed by the law of the jurisdiction.
