Essential Venice We have created this tour in response to large demand from people visiting Venice as part of a cruise. If you are in Venice for only a short time, such as one day or part of a day, then this tour is the perfect way to experience Venice. Don't spend your valuable time standing in the street staring at your map and trying to figure out where you are. We will take you around to the major sights of Venice, and to some of the not so major sights, in a fraction of the time it would take you to find them. Cicchetti Crawl Cicchetti (pronounced "chiketti") are small hors d'Oeuvre-like snacks that are a specialty of Venice, and served in bars throughout the city. Not all cicchetti, however, are created equal. We go to the places with the best wine and best cicchetti. Cooking Tour We are not chefs, but we can cook. We devise a menu of Venetian food, take you shopping to get the ingredients, bring you back to our kitchen, cook, and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal. Backstreets Tour Get off the beaten path and away from the tourista. Most of Venice is calm and quiet and virtually free of tourists. By venturing off the main areas, you will see how the locals live. Photography Tours We'll introduce you to some of the most photographic vistas Venice has to offer, at the time of day and angles designed to capture the best light for the best shot. You'll go home with pictures that are well above the ordinary. After exploring Venice taking photos, if you like, we'll set aside some time to look at and critique your pictures. |
